Hotel Islesford Booklet {Undated, circa 1893-1908 :: Loring A. Stanley, Proprieter}
This is a detailed turn-of-the-century booklet advertising the Hotel Islesford. It contains a detailed floor plan and lists prices for each section, along with information about Islesford, and a few photos. The booklet gives directions for reaching Islesford from Boston by either boarding the Eastern S. S. Co Steamship via Rockland and Southwest Harbor, or by taking a rail to Seal Harbor and riding the Steamer Islesford.The booklet uses three sentences to describe Islesford -- the first explains the relationship between 'Islesford' and the postal service, the second clarifies the difference between Islesford and Islesboro, and the third discusses boating & fishing activities.
